About

We're new. Here's who's actually behind this.

ACT Latam started in [[FILL: year]] in Medellín. There is no long client list yet and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Here is what we would want to know if we were you.

[[FILL: Role]]

[[FILL: 3–4 sentences. Where you worked before, what you actually did, what you learned about this problem firsthand. Specifics beat credentials. "I ran recruiting for a 60-person agency and watched four offshore hires fail for the same reason" is worth more than "10+ years of experience."]]

Why Latin America

It's the only region that gives you a full working day of overlap with a North American office. Asia gives you two hours, if someone stays up. Eastern Europe gives you a morning.

The clock is also steadier here than most people realize. Mexico abolished daylight saving in 2022. Brazil in 2019. Paraguay in 2024. Colombia, Peru, and Ecuador never had it at all. Chile is the last real holdout on the continent, and we do not recruit there. Whatever overlap you agree to in January is the overlap you still have in July. The only clock that moves is yours.

Then there's the part that doesn't fit in a table. People in Bogotá, Lima, and Mexico City have been working with North American clients since their first job, because their own agency and startup scenes sell north. They know the meeting norms, the feedback style, how fast to answer a Slack message. You cannot screen for that in an interview, and it's usually what decides whether a remote hire lasts past month three.

Why we're based in Medellín

Because we live here.

Medellín is where the team sits and where most of our sourcing happens. It has a real professional talent market, not a call-center economy. EAFIT, UPB, and Universidad de Antioquia turn out designers, communicators, and business graduates faster than the local market absorbs them. Fiber is standard. It's three hours from Miami.

Being here does not limit where we recruit. When a role is better served by someone in Lima or Guadalajara, that is where we look.

What we don't do

We do not staff software engineers, accountants who need a CPA, or anything requiring a professional license in the US or Canada. We do not do medical or legal roles. We do not sell hourly packages or pooled assistants shared across clients.

We also do not take a search we do not think we can fill. If your budget and your requirements do not meet, we will say that on the first call. It costs us a deal and saves us three weeks.

Ready to hire

Tell us the role. We'll tell you whether we can fill it.

Thirty minutes, no deck. If it isn't a fit, we'll say so on the call instead of following up for six weeks.
